D.O.T. (DIPLOMA IN O.T. TECHNOLOGY)
In the modern era, surgical modulations are touching the sky. Surgical skills are approaching new horizons. Any surgical procedure is a team work needing a Surgeon an Operation Theatre Technician and helping staff. An Operation Theatre Technician is the key person for any operating unit. Now-a-days as per as ruling by the Government of India, it is mandatory to have at least one trained O. T. Assistant for every Operation Theater. The unfortunate part was the lack of availability of trained staff because 0. T. Technician courses were not available
Now O.T. Technician Course (which is a Govt. recognised course) is available courtesy – J.P. State Faculty. Govt. of India, Lucknow. A qualified O.T. Assistant is eligible for a Government Job or a job in any private hospital where ever an O.T. Assistant is required. O.T. Assistants have a very bright 66L. Future and an excellent job opportunity as big corporate — hospitals are expanding enormously. They have specialised operation theatres for specialized surgery like Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery etc. Fortunately for us, these enormous structures have been built, but trained staff is not available. Western countries are also facing this problem tremendously. An Operation Theatre Assistant’s course will provide a very bright future with scope for further progress.
ELIGIBILITY: – Intermediate pass in Science
SEX: – Male & Female are eligible
DURATION: – 2 Years + 3 Months Internship
AGE: – 17 Years to 35 Years
The duration of diploma course in O.T. Technology shall be two years, followed by an internship for three months. An examination shall be held at the end of each academic session to assess the ability of the student. The subjects covered during the course will be as follows:
- General Anatomy
- General Physiology
- O.T. Management
- Computer Learning
- General Surgery
- Gynaecology & Obstetrics
The candidate seeking admission in the course will be required to pay the following course fee per annum.
